Reflexology & Allergies

So many of us suffer from allergies. Whether it is food allergies or intolerances, hayfever, dust allergies, nut allergies, or numerous other forms of allergy, it is a very common experience.

Allergy is simply the response of the immune system to any form of stimuli, such as any of the above. Therefore, through Reflexology, you will probably find the immune system is slightly out of balance, resulting in a hyper-sensitive response to a given stimuli.

Whilst you have to be extremely careful when it comes to allergies not to exacerbate the reaction further, it is important to try and help reduce the effect.

Through Reflexology, it may be that you cannot change the fact that the allergy is there, but you may be able to vastly reduce the consequences of the reaction. It is not a cure, but people find that allergies can stay away for very long periods until the system becomes slightly out of balance again, in which case, a maintenance or top-up treatment can get it re-balanced once more!

It is important in case of severe reactions where the sufferer carries an EpiPen, that they continue to do this.

Skin allergies in particular, as well as hayfever, respond extremely well to Reflexology, where work takes place particularly within the adrenal gland reflex, which is responsible for allergy, as well as the immune system.

People come, having had long miserable summers suffering from hayfever, only to find that it has 'disappeared' after a course of Reflexology!
